About Us
Quilt in Joy is a neighborhood quilt shop located in
Wing Pointe Commons. We pride ourselves on friendly
service, promoting the art of quilting. We welcome a
challenge, bring the piece or pattern with you and we’ll
work with you to create what you love.
Our class room is bright with tables in the round,
lending itself to a sharing atmosphere that is what
quilting has always been. There are no stairs, park at
the curb and walk right in.
Twenty percent of our inventory is batiks. Quilt in Joy
features many bright batiks with patterns that you won’t
find elsewhere. Quilters who love working with batiks
have found us and come here for great selections.
There are many Grandma Quilters – always looking for the
perfect child’s and /or baby’s quilt. We look too –
buying unique fabrics that children will love.
Our sales area features over 200 bolts of
beautiful fabrics priced at $5.95 per yard.
This is a great place to check for your quilt back, as
well as fabrics for your charitable projects.
Looking for Inspiration?
In addition to our “New Arrival Area” for fabrics we
also feature new books and patterns. Many of them become
samples and classes. Our Quilting Instructors attend
classes themselves at least annually so they have more
to pass on to you.
The Future of Quilting is with our children and we
encourage them by providing different experience levels
according to age: Initially the 5 – 8 year old sews a
Nine Patch with Grandma or Mom.
Both the Girl Scouts and Brownies are welcome to come in
and sew on special projects, often donated to area
charities.
For the Tweeners we have a WeQ2 Club. This club has
worked on P.J. bottoms, pillow case, and samplers,
honing their quilting skills for gifts or personal use.

The New Arrival Corner is right by the front door.
Everything new starts here. Samples are frequently
added to visualize the new fabrics.

We have many baby and
children’s prints in both bright and pastels. Some of
them have already been put into kits for the signature –
3 hour quilt, make it and flip it style.

Our Front Porch display
changes frequently featuring new fabrics, patterns and
accessories.

Early Quilters start sewing at about age 5. Our WeQ2

our Girl Scout and Brownie Troops have made quilts to
donate to Afghanistan. |
