Quilt In Joy AccuCut Club Membership

The AccuCut Machine is a simple to use die cutter for fabric.

With the dies that are in the shop, quilters are able to cut these shapes for quilts:

  • Strips the Width of the Fabric (45” or less) in 1 ½”, 2” or 2 ½” widths
  • Rag Quilt Squares 7” finished square with pre-cut ragging
    • Batting for the Rag Quilt in 6 ½” square
  • Squares 3” and 4 ½ ” finished
    Triangles Half Square 3”, 4 ½ “ and 5 ½” finished
  • Parallelograms
  • Rectangles

There are many different block patterns that can be created from the different shapes and we have samples of these in the shop.

Requirements: Prior to using the machine members are instructed on the proper use and safety measures. Quilters should be able to physically turn the handle exerting pressure (think old wringer washing machine), bend and lift 5 pounds (a gallon of milk).

Memberships are for individual use only. Please contact the shop for group rates.

Availability: Scheduling is done on a first-come, first-serve basis around classes during hours the shop is open. Most quilts can be cut in ½ an hour; we’ll schedule in ½ hour increments.

Cost: $50.00 per year per person on a calendar year basis. The fee is pro-rated for the months remaining in the calendar year if you join later than January.

To Become a Member: Call Quilt in Joy 847-669-1722 or stop in the shop and arrange your 20 minute demonstration time (bring some fabric – and start your first quilt project).
